A New Pastor is Called to FBC

On April 20, Dr. Ronald J. Bouthillette was called to be the new pastor of Milford First Baptist Church. His calling marked the end of a two-year search by the Pastoral Search Committee and the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the life of First Baptist. Pastor Ron's first Sunday with us as our pastor will be July 6.

Pastor Ron was born in Biddeford, Maine. At the age of 11, his family moved to Florida where Pastor Ron attended high school and Florida Bible College.

Moving back to New England, Pastor Ron worked in the corporate world. After several years he attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, where he earned his Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in the Old Testament. He later earned a Doctor of Ministry degree at Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta, focusing on church growth. While in seminary, Pastor Ron was a student pastor in Chelsea, MA and later served a church in Western PA.

Ron's ministry has been focused on developing leadership within the church and on church growth. He also has had an "intentional interim" ministry. Pastor Ron was the pastor/interim pastor of churches in Ohio, Massachusetts, Indiana, Vermont, New York and Florida.

Pastor Ron is married to Cathy and they have two children - Erich and Rachel - and four grandchildren. Ron and Cathy enjoy traveling and short-term missions. They have been to India, training pastors and their wives. Ron and Cathy enjoy the outdoors, camping, reading and spending time with their yellow lab-Sadie!
